How To Cook A Baked Potato

A baked potato is a jack-of-all-trades kind of side dish. It can be cooked over a campfire or served alongside a juicy steak in a white-tablecloth restaurant. No matter where you plan on enjoying it, a simple baked potato is always a satisfying accompaniment. Although a plain baked potato isn’t very enticing, the endless options of toppings make sure to prevent any possibility of tastebud boredom. If you are hosting a large party, consider setting up a baked potato bar. Guests will be able to dress their potatoes with whatever combination of topping they are craving, giving you more time to enjoy the night. Baked Potato Recipe

Ingredients
Idaho Russet, #1’s are best, 80 count potato, scrubbed and washed well
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1 oz. melted sweet butter
1-2 strips of cooked bacon, diced
1 Tbsp. sour cream
1 Tbsp chopped chives

Method
1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F.Lightly coat potato with oil then salt with 1/8 tsp salt
2. Place on oven proof dish bake in oven 35 minutes until it is easily pierced with a small knife
3. Cut pocket into potato and garnish with condiments as desired, adding butter and sour cream first
