How To Make A Refreshing Cucumber Sandwich

Cucumber sandwiches are an elegant dish associated with English tea-time. These light, thin finger sandwiches are great for hors d’oeuvres and entertaining during the warmer months. Because the ingredients are so simple, this is a great dish to learn how to cook with. Combine, at room temperature: butter, cream cheese, and diced fresh mint so it is an evenly spreadable texture. Peel an English cucumber to remove the skin then thinly slice the cucumber lengthwise. Spread the cream cheese mixture on fresh bread of your choice and lay the cucumber slices between the bread. Once the sandwich is assembled, remove the crusts of the bread and cut the sandwich in half diagonally for a flawless, simple presentation.
