Candied Sweet Potatoes Recipe:

Ingredients

3 Medium sweet potatoes ( about 2 pounds)
1 Cup water
½ Cup granulated sugar
½ Cup firmly packed light brown sugar
4 Tbsp unsalted butter
Juice of 1 Valencia Orange
1 Cinnamon Stick
Pinch of salt

Method

1. Peel the potatoes and cut in half lengthwise. Cut each half lengthwise into 3 or 4 wedges, depending on the size of the potato.
2. Place the potatoes and water in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add the granulated sugar, brown sugar , butter, orange juice cinnamon stick and salt and bring the mixture to a low, stirring occasionally.
