How To Make Key Lime Pie

Key lime pie is a very simple custard pie that is popular around the world and therefore, taught how to make in almost all baking courses. Chef Susie uses key lime juice in this recipe but you can also try squeezing your own key limes if you have the time. After whisking your egg yolks, begin adding the sweetened condensed milk, key lime juice (or freshly squeezed key limes), and green paste coloring if you would like to give a fresh green look to your pie filling. Once these ingredients are evenly mixed together you can add the filling to your graham cracker pie shell. Bake the pie briefly at 350-370 degrees Fahrenheit to let the filling set, then lightly swirl whip cream around the pie’s edges. Key lime pie is typically chilled after baking especially when served on hot summer days. For more great cooking demonstration videos, subscribe to the LearnToCookOnline YouTube channel.
