If you’re new to making desserts from scratch and are looking for beginner recipes, this peanut butter cookie recipe is a great place to start. Begin by combining your sugars and shortening in the mixer, add peanut butter, then continue creaming until everything is evenly mixed together. Next, pour your egg yolks into the batter and mix on a medium speed, then finally add the flour. Scoop the batter onto your tray and sprinkle each ball with sugar. Little known fact, pressing the fork design on the top of each cookie will actually help them bake evenly as well as add a nice touch to their presentation. Bake your peanut butter cookies at 350 degrees for about 10-20 minutes or until golden brown around the edges.
