How To Grill Chicken

Grilling is a healthy cooking option. You tend to use less oil and fat and the flavor doesn’t require a lot of assistance. Grilled chicken is great as a main course or as an addition to salad, sandwiches or even pasta. As you expand your grilling skills, you will find many uses for a perfectly grilled chicken breast. You can spice up grilled chicken any way you like, but the flavor is delicious on its own. If you want to marinate your uncooked chicken, toss the breasts in a re-closable plastic baggie with your favorite marinade overnight or at least for a few hours. If you would prefer to brush a sauce over your chicken breasts as they cook, choose a thicker dressing like barbecue sauce. Grilled Chicken Recipe

Ingredients:
4-6 oz. chicken pieces either breast or thigh meat, skinless, boneless
1/2 tsp. chicken spice rub (optional)
1/4 tsp. sea salt
1/8 tsp. black pepper to season just before service
BBQ sauce of choice

Method:
1. Prepare the grill by preheating it to medium heat
2. Season chicken pieces with spice rub (if desired) – certainly salt and brush both sides with olive oil very lightly (prevents the chicken from sticking on the grill). If chicken was marinating, be sure to pat chicken dry before placing on grill
3. Place on a hot cleaned grill
4. Allow for up to 5 minutes on each side, if grill cover is closed
5. Chicken are done when the center is medium well, firm to the touch, which also has a white color with a hot center, fully cooked. Can use a thermometer if desired to check, temp should be 165oF
6. Brush with desired sauce while chicken is still on the grill heat and serve
