This Italian dessert is light, elegant and the perfect “pick-me-up” after a wonderful meal. After all, that is what the name means. Despite its glamorous roots, the dessert is rather simple to make. Combine egg yolks, sugar and milk over medium heat, stirring while allowing the mixture to boil for one minute. Let the mixture chill for one hour in the refrigerator and then combine it with whipped cream and mascarpone cheese. Simply dip ladyfinger cookies in espresso or strong coffee and create a layer of ladyfingers in the bottom of a pan. Coat the cookies with the creamy mixture, and then add both layers one more time. Dust the top layer with cocoa powder or bittersweet chocolate shavings and prepare to “wow” your guests. In this video, Chef Susie provides a comprehensive online cooking lesson for making a luscious tiramisu. For more great cooking demonstration videos, subscribe to the LearnToCookOnline YouTube channel.
