How To Make Strawberry Jam

Whether you prefer it with butter, peanut butter or on its own, jam makes your morning toast something to look forward to. Making your own jam sounds more ambitious than it is. This recipe only takes about 30 minutes and tastes much better than store-bought versions that are filled with preservatives. Simply remove the leaves and halve your fresh Driscoll’s strawberries before you add them to the lemon and sugar mixture and cook over low heat. When strawberries are in season, you can buy in bulk and prepare a large batch of jam to can for later on in the year. Enjoy your homemade jam on toast, fresh biscuits or even add it to a marinade. The money you will save at the grocery store is just an added bonus. In this video, Chef Fernando gives an online coking lesson on how to cook a sweet strawberry jam. For more great cooking demonstration videos, subscribe to the LearnToCookOnline YouTube channel.
