How To Make Guacamole

What goes better with a warm summer day than a cold margarita, tortilla chips and freshly made guacamole? This easy-to-make avocado dip is chock full of healthy fats and vitamins, making it the perfect happy-hour snack. The dip is popular in Mexican and Tex-Mex dishes, but guacamole can be served in a variety of ways, including as a healthy dressing on sandwiches or wraps. Making the perfect guacamole isn’t an exact science. Feel free to play with spices and textures to tantalize your taste buds. Cover unused guacamole with saran wrap directly on top on the dip to prevent browning – not that there will be any leftovers. Guacamole Recipe

Ingredients:
3 each haas avocados, halved, seeded and peeled
1 each lime, juiced
1/2 Tsp kosher salt
1/2 Tsp ground cumin
1/2 Tsp cayenne
1/2 each red onion, diced
2 ounces vinegar
1/2 each poblano pepper, seeded and minced
2 each roma tomatoes, seeded and diced
1 Tbso cilantro, chopped
1 each orange Juice
salt to taste
black pepper to taste

Directions:
1. In a plastic or glass container place the red onion and vinegar and allow the onion to sit for about 30 minutes
2. In a large bowl place the avocado and smash together
3. Add the salt, cumin, and cayenne, lime and orange juice and mix together
4. Fold in the onions, peppers, tomatoes, and cilantro
5. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed
