How To Grill Tasty Artichokes

These vegetables are in the thistle family and they may not look very edible, but they certainly are and they are absolutely delicious. Artichoke leaves can be peeled off to remove the meat, with the heart of the artichoke providing the most meat. Steam or boil artichokes whole before you halve them; then put them on the grill. If you have a grill basket this will make the process easier and you won’t have to worry about any getting stuck between the grates. The grill will give them some additional flavor and the perfect amount of browning. Add some seasoning to your artichokes with pepper, olive oil, lemon and salt. If your guests have never eaten artichokes before, be sure to advise them to eat only the heart, not the thistle part. In this video, Chef Mark will show you how to grill some tasty artichokes. For more great cooking demonstration videos, subscribe to the LearnToCookOnline YouTube channel.
