Making a delicious donut at home doesn’t have to be difficult. You can prepare homemade donuts in a matter of minutes by using a premade biscuit mix. Simply cut a hole in the center using a cookie cutter and deep fry them! You can make donut holes with the centers, but be careful when placing the dough in the oil. Once the oil has reached 350 to 375 degrees, you do not want to splash any of it. Use a slotted spoon to turn the donuts in the oil to get a golden-brown color all around. Remove the donuts from the oil using a slotted spoon and allow them to slightly cool on a layer of paper towels. Once you can handle the donuts, roll them in granulated sugar, cinnamon sugar, or coat them with icing and enjoy. In this video, Chef Susie provides a comprehensive online cooking lesson for making freshly fried donuts. For more great cooking demonstration videos, subscribe to the LearnToCookOnline YouTube channel.

Donuts Recipe:

Ingredients:
1 container prepared biscuits
1 quart vegetable oil
1 ½ cups granulated sugar
1 container prepared chocolate icing
¼ cup sprinkles, mini chocolate chips or nuts

Directions:
1. Cut the center out of each biscuit using a small round cutter. Place the granulated sugar in a bowl. Warm the oil to 350-375 degrees
2. Carefully place the biscuits in the oil and cook until golden brown, gently turning.
3. Take out of the oil with a slotted spoon and allow the grease to absorb into the towel. While still warm roll the donuts in the sugar until well coated.
4. Warm the chocolate icing in a small bowl in the microwave and carefully dip the tops of the donuts in the icing and put the sprinkles on top. Serve
