A baked potato is a jack-of-all-trades kind of side dish. It can be cooked over a campfire or served alongside a juicy steak in a white-tablecloth restaurant. No matter where you plan on enjoying it, a simple baked potato is always a satisfying accompaniment. Although a plain baked potato isn’t very enticing, the endless options of toppings make sure to prevent any possibility of tastebud boredom. If you are hosting a large party, consider setting up a baked potato bar. Guests will be able to dress their potatoes with whatever combination of topping they are craving, giving you more time to enjoy the night. Set out classics like cheese, sour cream, chives and butter, along with unexpected toppings like wilted spinach or chili. In this video, Chef Mark will show you how to cook the perfect baked potato. For more great cooking demonstration videos, subscribe to the LearnToCookOnline YouTube channel.
