How To Make A Tasty Taco Salad

Have a healthy fiesta with a tasty taco salad. This salad has all the flavor of your favorite Tex-Mex dishes without the heavy tortillas and taco shells. If you use a ground chuck that is made for chili as the meat for your salad, the higher fat percentage will lend great flavor, but don’t add any fat or oil to cook with. After you have browned the meat with onions and taco seasoning, drain any excess fat and allow the meat to cool. Toss shredded romaine lettuce, diced tomatoes, sliced black olives and diced green peppers together with seasoning and dressing if you desire. With so much flavor, dressing may not be necessary. Top the salad with your taco meat, shredded cheddar cheese and some tortilla chips as a garnish. In this video, Chef Mark will show you how to make Tex-Mex taco salad. For more great cooking demonstration videos, subscribe to the LearnToCookOnline YouTube channel.
