A caprese salad is a simple salad, made with sliced mozzarella, tomatoes and basil, and then seasoned with olive oil, salt, pepper, and balsamic. To change this salad up a bit, substitute tomatoes with watermelon! Be creative with this type of salad by creating different shapes with your watermelon pieces. For presentation purposes try cutting star-shapes, oval or square shapes out of the  watermelon in order to add a uniqueness to the plate. In this cooking lesson, Chef Thomas walks us through how to make a watermelon caprese salad and the different variations of watermelon cuts to use!
