How To Make Hawaiian Salad

If you’re tired of making the same fruit salad every summer, take your taste buds on a vacation with a delicious Hawaiian salad. This simple fruit salad makes an appetizing afternoon snack or a simple after dinner treat. Be sure to toast the coconut flakes rather than just adding them in raw. Toasting them gives a great nutty dimension to the dish. Also, opt for fresh pineapple and oranges rather than canned if possible. It adds a little extra work to this virtually effortless dish, but lends an unbeatable freshness that rings true to the Hawaiian Islands. Keep an eye on the bowl though, because this tasty dish may disappear before you even get to serve yourself.  In this video, Chef Fernando gives an online coking lesson on how to prepare the perfect Hawaiian salad. For more great cooking demonstration videos, subscribe to the LearnToCookOnline YouTube channel.
